Wildcard is implied so try to be specific enough to not overlap with apps you do want removed. #-USER EDITABLE VARIABLES - change these to your tastes!. I replaced the large sections of unchanged text with '.'. Here are the only lines in my Decrapifier script that are changed from the original I downloaded in May of 2019. Is this a known issue? I'm not even close to an expert on PowerShell scripts, imaging, Win 10, or Chrome.
It first showed up when updating Chrome on the virtual machine I was using to make my deployment images. It is not a 1903 problem since it started with 1809 but it has persisted with from scratch 1903 installs. I thought I might have messed up my image somehow so I created a new one from scratch but it has the same issue. This happens in all accounts and on any system that is set up using the image I created. Once it's started, the two icons merge into one and it stays that way until reboot even if Chrome is closed. After that, there are two icons until the first time Chrome is run since boot. Everything looks good until the first time Chrome is run. Now whenever I run the script with the modifications I made, I eventually get a second Chrome icon in the taskbar on boot. It was working perfectly until a month or so ago. Thanks for the great script! It has been a lifesaver for getting rid of all the bloatware and simultaneously letting me set up the Start Menu and Taskbar the way we want.
